On Groups

I'm now a Moderator on Creators-Guild, and an official co-founder of Literary-University!

I think being a part of staff on groups is a great way to bring traffic to your page, especially because the all-encompassing groups that welcome all kinds of arts will see your username and work repeatedly.

With these additional responsibilities and opportunities, I hope to extend my reach across different groups, and publicize my work wherever I can.

Write at least two critiques of an artist's work.
  • Try to find an artist who has no critiques on a piece so far.
  • Try to find an artist who does not have a large following.
  • It is important to give constructive criticism if one would like to receive constructive criticism.
Check for groups to join.
  • Consistently promoting work is the first step to promoting oneself.
File through group files of art.
  • Recognizing an artist trying to promote themselves will create a stronger community and build connections.
  • Favoriting art will draw attention to one's own page.
Return Llama badges.
  • Express goodwill to artists who do the same for you.
  • Return Llama badges for all Deviants who favorite your work.
Engage in Project Comment's activities.

Introduction

Hello, my name is TrainerPi and I am a fan fiction author on DeviantArt and FanFiction.net.

Typically, you'd see me as a costume designer for the stage and screen, but online I look to improving how I articulate myself and my creative writing.

If you've read fan fiction, you see many artists who are more interested in portraying their subject rather than perfecting their craft, and you end up with a lot of low-quality work.

Yes, a lot of these artists are aspiring to be as good as a lot of the big name authors, but often times we see many people who would rather emulate what they think is quality work instead of learning to do so.

Call me pretentious, but I think a lot of users could learn a thing or two about dialogue or grammar. I'm of course open to giving and receiving criticism, and try to practice writing and designing every day.

Regardless, I look to merge two things that are close to me: Pokémon and writing. Please join me on this journey; I welcome you with open arms!
